Chipmunk WP903 (G-BCGC) has rather a special history being assigned to The Queen's Flight whilst in Royal Air Force service, hence the unique red colour scheme. Prince Charles learned to fly on this Chipmunk culminating in his first solo flight at RAF Bassingbourn on January 14, 1969. The red warning lamp (the 'Parrot') was a specific modification during its Royal service.

The Chipmunk is based at RAF Henlow and operated by the Henlow Chipmunk Group.
