The team was formed several years ago by Dennis Neville, a stalwart of air display flying for over 30 years. Dennis has personally instructed or worked up most of the team, they affectionately became known as 'Captain Neville's Flying Circus' and eventually officially took up the name and mantle.

The team comprises of approximately 8 pilots who fly a variety of aircraft and are all based at RAF Henlow in Bedfordshire.
